Package includes:
Linear glass scale, 500–1200 mm, in a single piece. Available with
resolutions of 0.5/1/5um.
Customized encoder lengths (L0) can be provided to meet customer
requirements (Length: 1000–3000 mm).
Single-Turn vs. Multi-Turn Encoders:Absolute encoders can be
categorized into single-turn and multi-turn types.
Single-Turn Encoders: These encoders provide position information
for one full revolution (360 degrees). They are capable of
measuring the position within a single rotation.
Multi-Turn Encoders: These encoders track position across multiple
revolutions. They include additional sensing elements or mechanisms
to record the total number of complete rotations, allowing them to
measure the position over several turns.
Output: The electrical signals generated by the optical sensors are
processed by the encoder's electronic circuit, which converts them
into a digital or analog output representing the absolute angular
position. This output can then be transmitted to a digital display,
controller, or computerized system for further processing and
control.
Accuracy and Precision: Absolute optical angle encoders are
renowned for their high accuracy and precision.
Accuracy refers to the maximum deviation from the true position,
indicating how close the measured position is to the actual
position.
Precision refers to the encoder's ability to detect and resolve
small angular changes, reflecting the consistency of its
measurements over time.
L0: Effective measuring length of the encoder
L1: Dimension of the encoder mounting hole
L2: Overall dimension of the encoder
The KA-600 encoder, designed specifically for large machine tools,
is characterized by its large size and excellent rigidity.
Additional support can be added at any position along the encoder
to further enhance its rigidity and stability. The encoder length
ranges from 1000 mm to 3000 mm.
